welcome to 23 interiors!
My name is Miki Benner and I live in Boalsburg, a small hamlet in central Pennsylvania, just outside of State College. My family consists of my three girls and the cutest little mini Schnoodle you have ever seen. Our home never has a dull moment, nor is ever quiet, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
My passion for interior design began many years ago, prior to going to school. I remodeled and redecorated two of my own homes, as well as a few friends and family member’s homes, as a hobby! Personally, I love many interior styles but have a true love for mid-century modern design, style and furniture. Between you and me, I watch the TV show ‘Mad Men’ just to drool over all of the amazing vintage furniture and clothing!
I am a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a degree in Residential Planning. Residential Planning is a combination of many different levels of design, including Space Planning, Interior Decorating, Fabric and Color Planning, Kitchen and Bath Design, Architecture and of course, Interior Design.
Since design is ever changing, I am always looking for ways to improve myself and to increase my knowledge in this wonderful, creative field! Recently I became a Certified Color Consultant through color expert Kate Smith's program, 'Sensational Color'.
